Black Limestone is a dense, sedimentary stone. It is formed from densely compiled marine residuals that we find as marine debris. In its natural state, black limestone can contain several contributing dark minerals, giving its composition a lot of depth. The texture is fine-grained. Source it from the quarry, and black limestone is incredibly dense and full of perspective and depth.
Recommended for modern patios, garden pathways, courtyards, driveways and even indoor flooring. The revealed rich black limestone looks extraordinarily sleek when finished with respect to lighter elements such as greenery or white walls. Urban landscapes use black limestone due to its contemporary perspective.
It is recommended to sweep black limestone frequently to keep ‘soil’ debris off and to keep the surface scratching to a minimum. If deep cleaning, use a cleaner that is pH neutral. If you do not seal black limestone, the stone will lighten with exposure, especially because your limestone is layered, where organic matter has occurred over millennia.
